Maloney Receives Dean's Operations Award

Program Coordinator Lori Maloney recieved the Dean's Operations Staff Award from Dean Larry Shapiro in a surprise ceremony June 18.

The award honors a current employee who performs duties that exceed job expectations and demonstrate outstanding leadership and superior quality service.

In nominating Maloney for the award, Senior Research Administrator Nichole Hayes said of Lori, "Her sound judgment and leadership skills are of tremendous value and she goes out of her way to provide a pleasant working environment for everyone around her. If you come to the 4th floor of the MPRB, you are always greeted with a smile and a helping heart along Lori’s bowl of candy and cubicle of snowflakes during the winter."

Lori Maloney has been a member of the Department of Pediatrics since 2010. In Lori’s role as Program Coordinator, she supports many pieces of the organization including the Children’s Discovery Institute, the annual Pediatric Research Retreat, unit administrative support, purchasing, and emergency planning.
