Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Lila Kertz graduated from St. Louis University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Upon receiving her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri, she was awarded the Excellence in Professional Leadership Award. She joined Washington University School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics after working five years in pediatric primary care. Lila specializes within the pediatric asthma, allergy, and pulmonary patient population. She is a certified asthma educator and has a special interest in food allergy. The majority of her time is spent in the clinical area with direct patient care. Additionally, she participates in multiple ongoing research studies. She assumed the position of Chairperson of the Washington University School of Medicine Departmental Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Council in July of 2006 and currently remains in that role.
