Endocrinology and Diabetes | Fellowship | How to Apply

How to Apply

We are delighted you are interested in a position in our Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship Training Program at Washington University/ St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Fellow positions are selected by review of formal applications and interviews with Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes faculty members.

Application Process: Our fellowship program participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Applicants apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) to Washington University/B-JH/SLCH Consortium during the Pediatric Specialties Fall Match. The timeline for applications can be found on the Fellowship Timelines for ERAS and NRMP websites.

Applicants must demonstrate that they will complete an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency or other training judged suitable by the program director prior to the anticipated appointment date.  Applicants are required to complete their application packet prior to receiving an offer for an interview.  This consists of:

1.      A completed application form

2.      Personal statement

3.      Medical School Transcripts

4.      Dean’s Letter (MSPE)

5.      Three letters of reference

The fellowship director reviews completed applications. Competitive applicants are invited for an interview, which consists of a meeting with the program director, a tour of the facility, lunch with current fellows, and interviews by selected faculty and staff.  Each interviewer completes an evaluation and rates the individual relative to previous applicants.  No applicant will be considered for the program without an interview.
