Dr. Torres Garcia is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and a member of the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Pulmonary Medicine. Dr. Torres Garcia earned his bachelor of science from East Carolina University. He then attended medical school at The Ohio State College of Medicine, where he also earned his Master in Health Administration. He completed his pediatric training at St. Louis University and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. After residency he moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he completed the Pediatric Medicine fellowship program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. This was followed by an additional Sleep Medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado, where he trained at Colorado Children’s Hospital, UC Health, the Eastern Colorado Veterans Administration Medical Center, and at National Jewish Health. His clinical and research interests have focused on pediatric sleep disorders, asthma, patient safety, and quality improvement. He greatly enjoys helping families make the best decisions for them and their children, as well as working with families to provide young people healthy and happy childhoods. Dr. Torres Garcia is also a firm believer that everyone could stand to get a little more sleep.
