1. Level of Education

PSRP applicants must be full-time undergraduate, graduate students, or high school seniors. Students must be at least 18 years of age and must have completed senior year of high school prior to starting the program.

2. Citizenship

There are no citizenship requirements. If a non US citizen, at the time of application, you need to be residing in the United States, enrolled in a full time graduate or undergraduate program, and be eligible for employment. This program will not help secure a visa.

3. Training Effort

All students are required to pursue their research training full-time, normally defined as 40 hours per week, throughout the duration of the program.

4. GPA Requirement

Students must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater to apply to the PSRP.

5. Prior PSRP Participant

Students who have participated in the PSRP previously are not eligible to apply.

6. Current Employee/Student in a Washington University Pediatrics Lab

Students can only request to work with a specific PI if they have worked with them for less than twelve months.

7. Pre-Employment Screens

A criminal background check and a hair sample drug screen may be required based on specific job duties.
