The Probiotic Study

The Probiotics study is a randomized controlled trial to determine the effectiveness and side effect profile of LGG (a probiotic) vs. placebo in children 3-48 months of age presenting to the Emergency Department with acute gastroenteritis. This study is conducted in 9 US sites belonging to the HRSA/MCHB funded Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN) and funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health And Human Development (NICHD).
