Pediatric Residency

BLS - PALS - NRP

Mandatory certification in BLS, PALS and NRP will be paid for by the program and completed during orientation.

  • BLS - Basic Life Support
    The BLS Class will be Friday, June 19th, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on the medical campus.  Everyone is required to attend this training course.  

  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
    This mandatory training will occur during orientation on June 25th and 26th.  You will receive a mailing from Darren Murphy in April/May containing the PALS book. The mailing will include a
    pre-test which you will need to complete before you begin the PALS training.  

  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
    There will be a pre-test available online before orientation during the month of June.  We will provide you the PIN for this test. 
    The practical will be completed on June 23rd or 24th during the Orientation NRP Practical Session. 
    We will mail you the NRP book in April/May. PLEASE READ THE BOOK! THOSE WHO HAVE NOT ALWAYS FAIL THE TEST.  Once you've read the book, please take the test online between May 22 - June 22.  You must print the part 1 completion certificate and bring it to the practical to provide proof you have taken the pretest. You may not begin residency until you pass NRP.
