Collaborative to improve the
use of antimicrobials in children.

SHARPS Mission

The Sharing Antimicrobial Reports for Pediatric Stewardship (SHARPS) collaborative focuses on establishing best practices for the use of antimicrobials among hospitalized children. Our mission is to utilize prescribing data to develop interventions that improve the safety of children receiving antimicrobials, improve the clinical outcomes of children, and decrease the rate at which resistance develops. The mission will be accomplished with the "all teach, all learn" philosophy.

2020 ASP Conference has Been Cancelled

Due to the continued efforts in responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic we will be cancelling the 11th Annual International Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship Conference. We are all sad that we will not be seeing and learning from each other about the great work being done in stewardship this year. However, we are looking forward to having a bigger and better POST COVID ASP conference in 2021.

Over the next 2 weeks, all of you that have registered for pre conference workshop and/or the conference will be refunded in full. Additionally, we will be contacting the host hotel and those reservations will be cancelled. You will not be penalized.

Thank you to St. Louis Children's Hospital, Pediatric Infectious Disease Societ (PIDS), Pew Charitable Trusts (PEW), Karius, BioFire Diagnostics, Evovle BioSystems (EVIVO), Horizon Pharma, Magnolia Medical Technologies, Roche Diagnostics Corporation, Spectrum, Vigilanz Corp, Cepheid, GlaxoSmithKline, and Pfizer for helping sponsor our 10th Annual International Antimicrobial Stewardship Conference! It was the biggest one to date, with over 220 people attending.

We wish all of you happiness, good health, and safety during these tough times.
