Clinical Interests

Dr. Beigelman is a member of the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Pulmonary Medicine. He is the Medical Director of the food allergy program. He was born in Israel and received his medical degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel. Dr. Beigelman was an intern at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel and completed a residency in Pediatrics at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel. He was a fellow in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis before joining the faculty of Washington University in 2009. Dr. Beigelman is a member of several organizations including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology and the Israeli Association of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Dr. Beigelman’s clinical and research interests include childhood asthma and food allergy. He investigates the contribution of early life infections to the inception of childhood asthma, and the management of asthma among children. In addition he is an investigator in multiple networks investigating therapeutic approaches to childhood asthma including the NHLBI's AshmaNet network, and the NIAID Inner City Asthma Consortium.
