This is an opportunity to learn more abo ut how the microbiota influences health and disease\, and about the use of mice with defined flora (germ-free or gnotobiotic) to explore the role of t he microbiota. It is also a great chance to meet and learn from others in t he microbiota community at WashU!
Topics will include the role of the microbiota in infectious diseases\, immunology\, and other diseases (pleas e see attached flyer). The afternoon will include talks from local faculty and trainees\, detailing the findings from their exciting studies in the Gn otobiotics field that are ongoing at Washington University! Refreshments wi ll be provided.
