Clinical Interests

Dr. Van Hare is Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Van Hare's main clinical interest is in the area of heart rhythm disorders in children as well as in adults with congenital heart disease. He has been active in the field of pediatric electrophysiology since 1988 and has been a leader in the development of new methods for the management of arrhythmias, especially radiofrequency catheter ablation and cryoablation. This is a high-volume pediatric electrophysiology center, which also offers pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation and follow-up, and the diagnosis and management of inherited arrhythmias such as the long QT syndrome.
