With strong community partnerships and a nationally ranked hospital partner, we provide comprehensive care through a multidisciplinary team. Dedicated to serving adolescent patients aged 12-21, our division provides tailored general and specialized care that addresses their mental, physical and social development. Our team of physicians, dietitians, nurses and social workers specializes in evaluating and treating issues such as eating disorders, weight management, reproductive healthcare, medical problems associated with adolescence, wellness promotion and substance use prevention. Providing expert hospital-based care across the region our pediatric hospitalists deliver comprehensive services at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and affiliated hospitals. From inpatient care and newborn services to emergency coverage and sedation for procedures, we combine advanced clinical expertise with a commitment to teaching and family-centered care.

Providing expert care for complex infections in children our team offers full-time consultation at St. Louis Children’s Hospital for diagnosis and management of rare or difficult-to-treat conditions, including HIV/AIDS. With more than 800 inpatient consultations annually and outreach through community clinics, we combine advanced expertise with compassionate care.

Project A.R.K. (AIDS/HIV Resources and Knowledge) • Specialized Services

Supporting children with kidney and blood pressure disorders through expert, family-centered care our team provides advanced diagnostics and therapies for a wide range of conditions. With more than 3,500 visits annually, we focus on promoting understanding and independence while fostering healthy physical and emotional development.

Providing the highest level of care for critically ill newborns our 125-bed Level IV NICU at St. Louis Children’s Hospital delivers advanced treatment for infants born at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and those transported from across the nation and abroad. With access to pediatric subspecialists, transplant programs and a dedicated Fetal Care Center, we combine state-of-the-art medicine with nationally recognized research to improve outcomes for the most vulnerable patients.

Providing expert care for children with rheumatic and immune disorders our team delivers comprehensive evaluations and treatment across four specialty clinics and inpatient services. With more than 4,000 visits annually and access to advanced diagnostic testing, we combine multidisciplinary expertise with collaborative care to manage complex conditions.
