Rheumatology

The Division of Pediatric Rheumatology in the Department of Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine provides comprehensive care for pediatric patients with rheumatologic disorders. The division is a regional center and draws patients from throughout Missouri and Illinois as well as surrounding states including Arkansas, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. The division is comprised of five full-time faculty members, four fellows, two nurse practitioners, and a nurse specialist. We have several active clinical research protocols to allow our patients access to the latest research opportunities, including serving as a clinical center for Childhood Arthritis Rheumatology Research Alliance. The division has operated a robust fellowship program for over 20 years, and we have trained 22 fellows including 11 MD-PhDs. These fellows have gone on to distinguished careers in pediatric rheumatology including current division directors and program directors in pediatric rheumatology programs.
