Registration now open for the Fifth Annual Rare Disease Day Symposium

Registration is now open for the Fifth Annual Rare Disease Day Symposium, taking place on Wednesday, February 24, 2027, at the EPNEC Auditorium on the WashU Medicine campus. A virtual attendance option will also be available.

Hosted in recognition of Rare Disease Day, this annual symposium brings together researchers, clinicians, patients, advocates and industry partners to advance collaboration across the rare disease community. The event provides a forum to share discoveries, discuss challenges and opportunities in rare disease research and care, and inspire the next generation of scientists and physician investigators.

The 2027 program will feature keynote and guest presentations from:

  • Michelle L. Hastings, PhD, University of Michigan
  • Jonathan W. Mink, MD, PhD, Dystonia Medical Research Foundation
  • Mark Dant, Ryan Foundation, Inc.
  • Cara O’Neill, MD, Cure Sanfilippo Foundation

Researchers are invited to submit abstracts beginning October 1, 2026. Abstract submissions will be accepted through December 8, 2026. Registration remains open through February 5, 2027.

The symposium will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at EPNEC Auditorium, 320 S. Euclid Ave., St. Louis, MO.
