Dr. Brennan received his Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Victoria in Victoria, Canada. After working as a Social Worker in the health care field for three years he moved to Australia where he earned his medical degree from the University of Queensland. He then moved to the United States and completed his Residency in Pediatrics at St. Louis University followed by his fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at Washington University in St. Louis. Throughout his fellowship he studied screening techniques for primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) in conjunction with the Washington University Pediatric Otolaryngology Clinic. He continues to work in the laboratory of Dr. Steven Brody studying phenotypes of novel PCD mutations. Dr. Brennan's research and clinical interests are in the areas of (PCD) and rare pulmonary disorders. He also takes an active role in helping educate Washington University medical students.
