Reflections 5 Years After the Killing of Michael Brown

12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.
Holden Auditorium, FLTC, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis

Friday, August 9, 2019 marks 5 years since Michael Brown was killed and the uprising in Ferguson began.  These events continue to impact and shape our country, the St. Louis region, and Washington University School of Medicine in various ways.  There is still much to learn, reflection upon, and do.  The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion invites you to a special Perspectives Dialogue session to take a pause in your busy work day and reflect in community on the events of August 9, 2014 and the five years since then.

Please join us on Monday, August 12th from noon – 1 pm in the Holden Auditorium, located in the Ferrell Learning and Teaching Center, (FLTC), on the first floor.  Feel free to bring your lunch.  Attached is a flier that we encourage you to print and post in your area and/or forward to your colleagues.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all Washington University School of Medicine sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact the Washington University School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in advance at 314-273-2809 or MedDEI@wustl.edu.
