Jodi Carter, MSN, RN, CPNP

Nurse Practitioner, Allergy and Pulmonary Medicine

Jodi joined the Pediatric Allergy/Pulmonary Division in 2006 as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. As an advanced practice nurse she works in collaboration with the pediatric pulmonologists and independently to manage the care of the “technology-dependent child” population. This is the population of pulmonary patients who require chronic mechanical ventilator support at home. She helps to provide continuity of care for these complex patients across both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She provides in depth education and counseling for families and collaborates with home care agencies, primary care providers and other subspecialities to help coordinate their care. She was integral in starting a multidisciplinary clinic for children who have tracheostomies and ventilators so they can minimize their travel to our clinics. She is also on staff at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Specialty Hospital where together with one of our pulmonologists she provides pulmonary consultation for chronically ventilator-dependent children.
