Philip Abraham, MD, MHA is the co-director of the Pediatrics Office of Faculty Development. At Memorial Hospital (Shiloh and Belleville, Illinois), he is vice chair of pediatrics and the pediatric hospitalist medical director.

Abraham went to Ross University for medical school and the University of Kansas for pediatric residency. His interests lie in the care of hospitalized children, newborns and community hospital emergency management.

The best part of his job is working with his colleagues. He is inspired and motivated by their hard work and drive. He believes that investing in both faculty talent and wellbeing is what ultimately makes an organization grow and achieve its mission.

In his free time, he tackles coparenting his three young boys with his wife, enjoys traveling, reading, music and being outdoors.

Katherine Rivera-Spoljaric, MD, MSCI is the co-director of the Pediatrics Office of Faculty Development, medical director of the Multidisciplinary Technology Dependent Child Center and co-director of the Severe Asthma Clinic for Kids.

She earned her medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine, completed her pediatric residency at Miami Children’s Hospital and completed a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology and a research fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine. Her research interests include asthma and environmental influences of pediatric disease.

She is a mother to three teenage children, loves HIIT workouts and reading. She has a passion for life coaching and overall wellness and hopes that she can share her vision and learnings through this podcast.
