The eight-level Northwest Tower opened in September of 2006. This 200,000-square-foot facility provides faculty and staff office space atop the St. Louis Children’s Hospital garage. The PatientOriented Research Unit occupies the tenth floor of the Northwest Tower. The 22,100 sq ft tenth floor has four conference rooms, 40 faculty offices, 118 staff and fellow cubicles, and various drug storage and copy/work areas.

The PCRC Pool can provide clinical research coordinator effort to investigators throughout the School of Medicine at an established fee that varies if it is industry or federally sponsored study.

The Pediatric Clinical Research Unit (PCRU) provides space and nursing and bionutritional support for clinical research projects conducted with children at Washington University in St. Louis. The unit is located on the 11th floor of St. Louis Children’s Hospital and has exam and interview room space, a procedure area, and a phlebotomy and sample processing area.

Since 1995, Project ARK has been dedicated to providing support for those infected and affected by HIV, and those at-risk of acquiring HIV.

Founded in 1879, St. Louis Children’s Hospital is one of the premier children’s hospitals in the United States. It serves not just the children of St. Louis, but children across the world. The hospital provides a full range of pediatric services to the St. Louis metropolitan area and a primary service region covering six states. As the pediatric teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine, the hospital offers nationally recognized programs for physician training and research.

Our mission is to increase access to health care for youth who have been disproportionately impacted by HIV, poverty, trauma, and discrimination. In order to protect and promote the physical and mental health of those we serve, we must work together to dismantle institutional racism and injustice to address the root of these conditions.
