Lori Maloney grew up across the river in Caseyville/Collinsville/Maryville with her younger brother who still calls her “little sister.” During her childhood, family and friends were always around and the family camped a lot! Always with several other families – it was more of a party and home away from home kind of camping rather than roughing it.
When she graduated from Collinsville High School in 1983, she was working full-time at A.G. Edwards. Years later, after A.G. Edwards was bought out, she found herself looking for a job. Her high school friend, Cara Baczewski worked in Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and knew of an opening. Maloney and her friend became co-workers in 2010!
She has always worked in Peds, and her job description changes almost every year, but she loves it! There is never time for her to get bored doing the same thing. The people here make it enjoyable – she feels that she is truly amongst a team, and she is honored that she gets to work with such a great group of people.
Maloney and her husband, Tom, enjoy travel, live music and eight grandchildren plus one on the way! When they travel, they always hope to visit a national park. In September 2024, they will take their first cruise to Alaska and will be able to check a couple of parks off the list!
