Located on the first floor of the Bernard Becker Medical Library, is a campus resource for the Washington University community. The center provides access to printed and electronic health information you can trust and promotes programs and campus events on wellness and healthy living to benefit our staff, students and faculty.

HERC is the only non-profit organization devoted to connecting exceptional professionals with careers at higher education and affiliated employers that have a shared mission to promote equity and inclusion, support dual-career couples and create a future shaped by diversity of thought and perspectives.

The Office of the Ombuds is a resource for faculty members and medical students that offers assistance in the informal resolution of work-related conflicts, advocates for fair treatment and process, and follows four distinctive principles of confidentiality, independence, impartiality/neutrality, informality.

OUTmed is a Department of Medicine sponsored organization that advocates for the LGBTQIA+ community. Membership is comprised of faculty, trainees, residents, students, staff and allies. Members from across the School of Medicine and Barnes Jewish Hospital are welcome to participate.

The mission of Project Implicit is to educate the public about bias and to provide a “virtual laboratory” for collecting data on the internet. Project Implicit scientists produce high-impact research that forms the basis of our scientific knowledge about bias and disparities.
